Every winter, the mountains come alive with the sound of music. From terrace après-ski sessions to destination weddings, hotel residencies and international events, the demand for great musicians in the Alps continues to grow.
To prepare for the next season, Après Ski Bands is once again opening its doors to new talent.
Our annual auditions are returning this spring, giving musicians the chance to join one of the most established live music networks working across the Alpine events scene.

Brighton Auditions – 27 & 28 April
This year’s auditions will take place in Brighton on 27–28 April.
We’re looking for solo artists, duos and full bands who can bring energy, personality and strong musicianship to the unique environment of mountain venues and destination events.
If you’re a musician who thrives in front of lively crowds, can adapt to different venues and loves the atmosphere of the mountains, this could be the perfect opportunity.
What It Takes to Play in the Alps
Performing in ski resorts is unlike almost any other music scene. Artists often move between multiple venues, different audiences and changing environments throughout the week.
That’s why we look for musicians who are not only talented performers but also professional and adaptable touring artists.
Artists working in the Alps need to:
- Know the classics ! From Sweet Caroline to modern crowd favourites you must be able to provide a solid set list of the most loved hits!
- Be comfortable playing multiple genres and styles depending on the venue and audience
- Have a solid understanding of live setups, sound systems and basic sound engineering
- Be flexible and able to adapt quickly to new stages, schedules and locations (sometimes on top of mountains with no road access and only a skidoo to get you up there!)
- Have the stamina and endurance required for a demanding performance schedule
In peak periods, artists may be performing 20+ shows a week, sometimes across different resorts. Being organised, self-sufficient and able to look after your voice, energy and wellbeing is essential.
It’s a fast-paced environment but also one of the most exciting live music circuits in Europe.
