From the Alps to THE PIG: Après Ski Bands Brings Live Music to the UK

When people hear the name Après Ski Bands, they naturally picture snowy terraces, mountain bars and packed après-ski dancefloors.

And while the Alps will always be a huge part of what we do, our artists certainly do not stop performing when the snow melts.

Après Ski Bands provides live bands, acoustic acts and DJs for venues, weddings, private parties and events across the UK and Europe. This summer, we are particularly proud to see several artists from our roster performing at THE PIG hotels in Devon, Cornwall and Kent.

Live music, THE PIG way

THE PIG is a collection of laid-back country-house hotels found in some of the UK’s most beautiful countryside and coastal locations. Food may sit at the heart of each house, but music is also an important part of the atmosphere.

Throughout summer 2026, THE PIG’s music programme includes regular Smoked & Uncut Unplugged evenings, outdoor performances, live music in The Folly at THE PIG-at Combe, Garden Party weekends and DJ Sundowners beside the Cornish coast.

It is a relaxed, experience-led style of entertainment that works perfectly with many of our artists: brilliant live musicians who know how to complement a venue, read the crowd and gradually build the atmosphere.

The Rocka takes on Devon

The Rocka recently brought their unmistakable live energy to THE PIG-at Combe in Devon.

Set within the rolling Devonshire countryside near Honiton, THE PIG-at Combe hosts its summer music events in The Folly, where guests can enjoy live music alongside wood-fired pizzas, cold drinks and long evenings outdoors.

The Rocka are a UK-based four-piece band available across the UK, France, Switzerland and Italy. Their energetic performances and crowd-friendly repertoire make them equally at home on an après-ski stage, at a festival-style celebration or in the gardens of a country-house hotel.

Snow boots or summer lawns, they know how to get a party moving.

ArkaDuo heads to Kent

Next up, ArkaDuo will be performing at THE PIG-at Bridge Place on Sunday 9 August as part of its Smoked & Uncut Garden Party weekend.

Located in the Kent countryside near Canterbury, Bridge Place will host three days of food, live music, DJs, outdoor entertainment and celebrations marking 15 years of THE PIG. The Sunday programme has a family-friendly festival atmosphere, with live bands, sundowners, garden entertainment, BBQ food and pop-up bars.

ArkaDuo is the duo formation of Arkadia and is a perfect fit for this kind of event. Using vocals, guitars, bass, percussion, looping and carefully built arrangements, two musicians create a sound with the impact of a much larger band.

Their set can move naturally from acoustic music to big singalongs and dancefloor favourites, allowing them to adapt to the rhythm of the afternoon and the audience around them.

Sunday Sundowners with DJ Ry Golds

Over in Cornwall, DJ Ry Golds (Ryan Goldsworthy) will be taking over the Sunday DJ Sundowners at THE PIG-at Harlyn Bay throughout August.

The sessions take place at The Lobster Shed, close to Padstow and the beaches of North Cornwall. Guests can settle in with fresh seafood, chilled drinks and views towards the coast before the DJ soundtrack carries the evening into sunset.

Ry will perform from 6pm to 9pm on Sundays 9, 16, 23 and 30 August. The events are free to attend, although advance booking is recommended.

It is difficult to imagine a better Sunday combination: Cornish sea air, a cold drink and a carefully selected soundtrack as the sun goes down.

Après Ski Bands …without the skis

Working with THE PIG is another example of the range of venues and events our artists can perform.

Our roster includes acoustic soloists and duos for chilled afternoons, versatile bands that can move from background music to a full party, and experienced DJs for sundowners, weddings, hotel events and late-night celebrations.

We work throughout the UK as well as France, Switzerland, Italy and other European destinations, supporting hotels, venues, event planners and private clients with artist selection, bookings, logistics and technical requirements.

So, despite the name, you do not need a mountain—or even a single snowflake—to book an Après Ski Bands artist.

Sometimes all you need is a beautiful setting, some great food, a few cold drinks and the right music.
