Live music for hotels, bars and après-ski venues in the French Alps
An acoustic duo as guests settle in for a drink. A terrace singing along after the last lift. A DJ keeping the evening going.
Whatever the setting, the music should feel right for your venue.
Based in Méribel, Après Ski Bands is a live music booking agency providing bands, solo musicians, acoustic duos and DJs for hotels, bars and après-ski venues across the French Alps. From a single evening to a regular winter programme, we help you find artists who suit your guests, your space and your budget.
Some of our clients include:
From lively après-ski bars to mountain hotels, we work with venues that make music part of their guests’ experience. Here are some of the places we help bring to life.

Music that fits your venue
Every venue has its own rhythm. You might want music that adds warmth to your hotel lounge, a weekly live session that brings people back, or a band that turns your après-ski terrace into the place to be.
We start with the atmosphere you want to create, then help you choose the right format.
Acoustic music for hotel lounges, restaurants and terraces
Solo musicians and acoustic duos are a versatile choice for drinks, dinner and relaxed afternoon sessions. Think vocals and guitar, familiar songs with a different feel, and music that gives guests something to enjoy while leaving room for conversation.
These smaller formats can work particularly well in intimate spaces, although we’ll always discuss the setup and sound levels with you.
Live bands for après-ski and evening entertainment
For venues where live music takes centre stage, a full band brings the energy, interaction and big singalong moments that guests come back for.
Our roster includes bands covering pop, rock, funk, soul and party favourites. Whether you’re planning a regular après-ski slot, a Friday night fixture or an end-of-season celebration, we’ll help you find a band that suits your crowd.
DJs for hotel bars, sunset sessions and late nights
A DJ can take the mood from laid-back afternoon drinks through to a busy evening on the dancefloor.
From disco and house to broader party sets, we help you find DJs whose style suits your venue. DJ and live musician combinations are also an option if you’re looking for something with an extra live element.
One evening, a weekly booking or a full season
You don’t need to have your entire programme worked out before getting in touch.
Perhaps you already know you want a duo every Thursday. Perhaps you’re opening a new bar and need help deciding what will work. Or perhaps you have an established programme and want to introduce some fresh acts.
We can help with:
- One-off bookings for openings, celebrations, special events and closing parties.
- Regular live music for weekly après-ski sessions, hotel entertainment and weekend evenings.
- Seasonal programming with a mix of artists and formats across your winter calendar.
For recurring bookings, we can discuss returning favourites alongside rotating acts, giving your programme continuity while keeping things interesting for regular guests.
Live music in action: the Cavern Bar, Morzine
The Cavern Bar in Morzine shows how live music can become part of a venue’s identity. Over the years, its stage has welcomed artists from the Après Ski Bands roster, including UpTones, Revolverlites, The Honey and Evelyn & The Shakedown.
For guests, it’s somewhere to discover a band, return for a favourite act and make live music part of their time in the mountains.

Live music in action: Le Rond Point, Méribel
Ski boots on, drinks in hand and a terrace full of people singing along — Le Rond Point, affectionately known as The Ronnie, captures everything we love about après-ski in Méribel.
Its annual Ronnie Loves Music festival takes that atmosphere even further, bringing five days of live bands and DJs to the slopes. Alongside Piste Productions, we help bring it all together in partnership with Le Rond Point, from artist programming to stage logistics, accommodation, transfers, sound and lighting.
It’s a collaboration we’re proud of, and a great example of what thoughtful programming and experienced production can bring to a mountain venue.

Local knowledge, practical planning
Booking music for a mountain venue involves more than choosing an act. Performance space, access, equipment, sound levels and timings all affect what will work on the day.
We’ll talk through the practical details with you, including:
- Where the musicians will perform and how much space is available.
- Your existing sound equipment and any additional requirements.
- Arrival, setup and performance times around your service.
- Access, parking and travel arrangements.
- Volume limits and nearby guest rooms or neighbours.
- A suitable covered alternative for outdoor performances.
Our team can handle enquiries in English and French, making it easier to coordinate with your venue team.
From Méribel across the French Alps
Our home is in Méribel, in the heart of Les 3 Vallées. We work with venues across French ski resorts, including Courchevel, Val d’Isère, Chamonix, Megève and beyond.
We also welcome enquiries from hotels and bars in Provence, the South of France and other destinations, with options depending on artist availability, dates and travel.
Your questions answered
Can we book music for the whole winter season?
Yes. We can discuss recurring bookings and seasonal programming, including different acts and formats across your calendar. Send us your opening dates, preferred performance days and approximate budget to get started.
Can we book just one performance?
Absolutely. We arrange individual bookings as well as regular programmes, whether you’re planning a special evening or trying live music at your venue for the first time.
Do the musicians bring their own sound equipment?
Equipment arrangements depend on the act and your venue’s existing setup. Let us know what you already have, and we’ll confirm what is needed and what is included in the proposal.
Our venue is small. Can we still have live music?
Often, yes. A solo musician or acoustic duo may be suitable for a smaller space. Share a few photos, approximate dimensions and any volume restrictions so we can recommend an appropriate setup.
How much does live music for a bar or hotel cost?
Pricing depends on the act, number of performers, date, location, performance length and technical requirements. For regular bookings, the frequency and overall programme also help shape the proposal. Tell us your budget so we can suggest realistic options.
Let’s plan your venue’s music
Tell us where you are, who your guests are and the atmosphere you want to create. Whether you need one great evening or a full winter of live music, we’ll help you find the right starting point.
Include your venue name, location, dates or booking frequency, preferred timings and approximate budget in your enquiry. It’s fine if you’re still working out the details.
