George Whalley – Guitarist & Singer
George Whalley is an accomplished guitarist, singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist with over 16 years of experience performing in the vibrant après ski scene across the Alps. Combining exceptional musicianship with an engaging stage presence, George delivers everything from crowd-pleasing acoustic anthems to feel-good singalongs, creating the perfect soundtrack for après ski bars, hotels, and events.
A graduate of Leeds Conservatoire, where he earned his Music degree in 2010, George has built an impressive and varied career. Before stepping into the spotlight as a solo performer, he established himself as one of the scene’s most respected drummers, performing with some of the finest bands on the après ski circuit. Over the years, he has toured extensively throughout Scandinavia and Europe, performing to audiences across a wide range of venues and festivals.
George was also a founding member of Gotts Street Park, contributing to the group’s distinctive sound during its early years. As a songwriter and composer, his original music has received airplay on major radio stations across the UK and Europe, featured on BBC television, and earned reviews in leading music publications, including Metal Hammer.
Returning to his first love, the guitar, George now performs throughout the French Alps, bringing years of professional touring experience, outstanding musicianship, and an extensive repertoire of classic rock, indie, pop, folk, and party favourites. When he’s not performing solo, you can also find George behind the drum kit with his bands Pink Miami and The Al Jones Band, as well as leading the local Blues Night, where his passion for live music and collaboration continues to shine.
Whether entertaining packed après ski crowds or creating the perfect atmosphere for intimate hotel performances, George combines world-class experience with a genuine love of live music, delivering performances that audiences remember long after the last song.
